Our leaf compost increases the porosity and nutrient value of the soil. We make our own bulk compost on site from leaves and other decomposing plant material. Leaf compost is excellent for planting trees, shrubs, etc. to introduce the plant to the clay-heavy soil that is so common in the area. Simply mix one part compost with two parts of the surrounding ground, dig a hole twice the diameter of the plant container/root ball and fill the hole with the mixture when you place the plant in the ground.
